Do you work with children or young adults?

Yes I work with the students of Eltham College, aged from 11 to 18. I also work with adults on an evening course.

Does working with children inspire aspects of your work? Or do pupils you teach give you new ideas?

I am always inspired when I work with other people whatever their age. I recently was inspired by the children's use of paint which led me to experiment with how I used it. This has led to a change in approach to nude studies. I now use thick impasto layers of paint for the work. I have also begun to experiment with oil paint for the first time. This has greatly inspired me to understand colour more.
